The Recreation Department is responsible for developing and implementing recreation activities, community and special events for all ages, schedule the use of facilities including the James Mason Memorial, Cultural and Recreation Centre, Saugeen Fitness Centre, Ball Diamonds and Parks, to ensure that recreation facilities and equipment are used and maintained properly. The SFN Dept. oversees the Saugeen Recreation Sport Assistance Fund, and the Community Aboriginal Recreation Activator Program (CARA) primarily funded by Grants Ontario in which we aim to increase capacity through volunteerism.
