Saugeen First Nation will be completing a Capital Planning Study that will update our current population projections and begin the appropriate planning required for long-term growth, including land-use planning, future residential and commercial development, and critical infrastructure services such as water and wastewater over the next 20 years.

We are excited to announce that First Nations Engineering Services Ltd.(FNESL) is the consultation firm hired. We have a long standing relationship with FNESL as they have previously worked on the design and construction of our existing water system. FNESL’s sister company, K. L. Martin & Associates Corp, also oversaw the design and construction of our Governance & Administration Building.

This project is being funded by Indigenous Services Canada, (ISC). ISC works collaboratively with partners to improve access to high quality services for First Nations. We will be hosting various community meetings to gain feedback and provide updates on the Community Planning Study.
