Job Description:
Saugeen First Nation is seeking a reliable and hard-working Public Works Snow Plough Driver/Operator – Seasonal On-call Relief to support seasonal operations within our Works Department. This position involves hands-on labour duties related to roads/sidewalk/parking lot snow removal, sanding/salting/de-icing operations, route planning, equipment maintenance, record keeping, and general community maintenance. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Works Supervisor, providing key support in field operations and helping to ensure equipment is kept in safe, functional condition. On-call means the candidate must be available to report to Public Works 24/7, without exceptions, and be ready to operate the snow plough within one (1) hour of receiving notification by phone call or text, that must be responded to within fifteen (15) minutes. This position is based on snowfall events.
