The Employment and Training Centre is currently in the final design stages of a comprehensive renovation and small building addition. This project will modernize the facility, address the deterioration of the existing asset, and create a more functional, welcoming, and accessible environment that better supports clients, staff, and community programming.
The renovation will include several key improvements designed to enhance service delivery, safety, and long-term sustainability, including:
- Flexible, multi-purpose spaces that can accommodate a variety of programs and community needs.
- Larger classrooms to increase training capacity beyond the current limit of 25–30 participants.
- Improved indoor-outdoor connectivity to support programming and provide access to outdoor learning and gathering spaces.
- A redesigned reception and lobby area that offers a welcoming, comfortable, and functional space for clients and visitors.
