Members of Saugeen,

We are exited to announce that funding has been allocated to support upgrades to the pow wow grounds and baseball diamonds. These improvements reflect important needs identified by the community and represent a significant investment in the spaces where members gather, celebrate, and engage in recreational activities. These shared spaces serve not only as venues for cultural and athletic events but also as central points that strengthen community connection, promote wellbeing, and foster a sense of pride and belonging.

To ensure the successful completion of these projects, the allocated funding will be complemented by community fundraising efforts. Fundraising initiatives are in the early stages, and all members of the community are encouraged to participate. Contributions may take the form of donations, sponsorships, or involvement in upcoming fundraising activities. Every contribution, regardless of size will directly support the enhancement of these valued spaces and will provide lasting benefits for both current and future generations.

In the coming weeks, site work will commence at both the baseball diamonds and the pow wow grounds. This notice is provided to inform community members that any activity observed in these areas is part of the planned improvement projects and reflects our ongoing efforts to enhance these shared spaces.

Further sponsorship opportunities will be available in the near future. Individuals, families, and local businesses are encouraged to consider participating in these opportunities as a way to support the project and leave a lasting positive impact on the community. For additional information regarding contributions, sponsorships, or participation in fundraising initiatives, please contact Brittany Roote at Brittany.roote@saugeen.org
